We are looking for a highly organized and intelligent junior trader to join our South African and American teams. This individual should have previous experience on a trading desk (1-2 years). An understanding of macro-economics, the precision necessary for trading, and the attention to detail needed to successfully participate in a team environment is essential. This position could lead to a trading position, for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Assist team with daily trading duties
Trade confirming and reporting
Monthly statements and client reporting
Daily mark to market
Updating currency models
Communication with clients
Special projects
Job Requirements
BS/BA required in math, finance or other related field
Required skills
Strong computer skills a must.
VB/VBA
Excel - with strong advanced spreadsheet skills (macros, external data calls to databases, Pivot Tables, vlookups)
Relational Database
Visual Basic
Light programming and SQL a plus.
Excellent math capabilities
Front and back office experience
